About Us

Hong Kong Aerospace Technology Group Limited (HKATG) was co-founded by ten global aerospace scientists and Hong Kong Financial Asset Management Holdings Limited (HKFAM). After more than three years of preparation and resource integration, it is established in The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China in 2019.

The core business of HKATG are space "Golden Bauhinia" Constellation and international commercial satellite ground receiving station, embracing satellite manufacturing, satellite remote sensing, satellite navigation, satellite communication, aerospace industry services. As the first and only member of the "International Astronautical Federation" (IAF), HKATG enjoys international recognition.

Hong Kong Aerospace Technology (Shenzhen) Space Technology Co., Ltd. is the sole agency authorized by the Hong Kong Aerospace Technology Group in the Mainland. The business scope includes the technology development, sales and leasing of space robots, the design of space technology solutions and the development of network information technology, etc. Hong Kong Aerospace Technology (Shenzhen) Space Technology Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Aerospace Science and Technology Group.

    Lin Hui has been working on environmental remote sensing and virtual geographic environments for decades. He led the team to establish the Hong Kong Satellite Remote Sensing Receiving Station and organize the first time of airborne radar and near infrared remote sensing in Hong Kong. He has been the principal investigator of China side for dynamic mapping of the Tibetan Plateau cryosphere as one of the projects of Sino- EU "Dragon Program.

    Professor Yu Ming is a 24-year Canadian Space Industry Veteran. He was COM DEV's Chief Scientist and the Director of R&D for many years. After COM DEV was acquired by Honeywell in 2016, he was a Honeywell senior engineering fellow and led the Advanced Tech group. He joined The Chinese University of Hong Kong as a tenured Full Professor in 2017. He is also an Adjunct Professor at University of Waterloo. He holds both Canadian and Hong Kong government research grants. He served as the IEEE Distinguished Microwave Lecturer from 2010 to 2012. He has over 150 publications and 30 patents. Prof. Yu is a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and IEEE Fellow.

Goodchild is the father of geographic information science, an American-British geographer, a member of the American Academy of Sciences, a member of the Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a professor of geography at the University of California. The founder of the National Geographic Information and Analysis Center (NCGIA), where he has guided for more than 20 years.

    He became the member of the American Academy of Sciences in 2002 and received the founder's medal of the Royal Geographic Society in 2003.
